Sort by columns not working in matrix

Question

In a matrix view, i used a measure in values for a report. In the report if i sort the report by this measure, this doesnot work. Pls help.&nbsp;

I really like Power BI, but it seems that on such important items it still lags behind Tableau. This sorting issue while very important should be trivial in how it's done. I have tried all kinds of approaches and still there is no way of sorting a Matrix visual by a column not being displayed.

In a Matrix, we can only change the order in row level.
&nbsp;
Besides, when we sort the matrix by measure, the order is determined according to Total values rather than detailed records per column per row.

Anonymous&nbsp;said "There is no way of sorting a matrix visual by a column not being displayed."I found a way to not display my sort value because the the table in my matrix has a fixed number of lines. So I simply shrank the visual height to cause the bottom line to always be off the visual and thus it is sorted and not displayed.
