Sort by Column in Matrix not working

I have a matrix visual with Value 1 and Race in the Rows, Months for the Column, and a calculated measure for the Values (with sparklines). I'm trying to sort Race by alphabetical order, so I tried "Sort by Column" for that measure but it didn't work. I then tried the same method but with a separate table via "Enter Data" and a numberically sorted column:

However, the rows in the matrix are still not sorted by the order I want (Asian, Black, Other, White) and I believe they are sorted largest to smallest based on their total average of the calculated measure.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

@rgu101 can you click on the top right corner of the matrix visual (3 dots) and check how it is sorted by and the sort order?

I completely overlooked this setting. Thank you so much!

@rgu101 not sure why it wouldn't work, can you share screenshot of rows/columns/values section of the matrix visual

@rgu101 do you have anything on columns? How many measures you are using on the values?

Only the month (date) is in columns. In my values, I have two values. One is the a calculated measure and the other is a sparkline for the calculate measure.
