Sort Matrix by field which is not in the Matrix (Income Statement)

Hi freder1ck - yes that's for sure the answer (and elegantly put I must say!). As a newbie though (which I am) I still had to figure it out step by step.

Hi Michelle,
Have you tried setting Fin Descr to sort by Fin Code? In data view, go to the modeling tab. Click Fin Discr column and then the sort by button. Sort it by Fin Code. Then you can sort by description and it will sort as you prefer.
