Sort Horizontal Bar Chart by Sum
I would like my horizontal bar chart to be sorted so the highest occurring item is on the top and the lowest occurring item is on the bottom.
Why is that not the default? That's how almost every horizontal bar chart everywhere else is sorted, does Power BI really not support that?
Hi rynhowl ,
Are you using this visual? If you are using this visual, you can use the sort feature in any case.
If the visual you are using is from the "Visualizations" pane, you can not use the sort feature when the column in your axis label is numeric type.
But if it is date type hierarchical data, it can be used in the case of drilling.
So which visual are you using?
What's your date type in "Axis" label?Best regards,

Thank you, but my numbers are not a count, they're a sum, so when I click the elipses, there is no "Sort Descending" option. I should have worded my title more specifically.
