I am using Odata to query a SharePoint site. I have a report that was working for a long time and now it is failing.
I built a new report and I'm querying a Document library.
If I remove the Title column from the query the error goes away. So I know it's something in the Title column.
When I get the error it shows Row number 6661. I assume that's an indexed item but I don't seem to be able to see what that item actually is.
Can anyone give me ideas on how to debug this?
Thanks
Even then I'd think languages would be supported for ODATA.
The site is onprem. I don't think I can do that. 🙂
I ended up using a Sharepoint connector and pulling the Title from it.
It's really disconcerting that it is so hard to debug PowerBI.
The error just shows up with and indexed item and won't give me more. I tried using debug logs but that didn't help either.
Hi @ComputerHabit ,
Whether the advice given by lbendlin has solved your confusion, if the problem has been solved you can mark the reply for the standard answer to help the other members find it more quickly. If not, please try the following steps:
1.Special characters or invalid data in the Title column can cause issues. Look for any unusual characters or formatting in the Title column.
2.Verify if there are any null or empty values in the Title column and handle them appropriately.

I'm really asking a quetion more about how PowerBI is debugged. It seems that all the debugging tools were not helpful at all and it took me hours just to get nowhere.
Run a query in the graph explorer that fetches exactly this item. See if the title field comes through.
Another path of the issue is 'this item' which I don't know which item this is because all I get from PowerBI is an indexed number.
I did end up adding an index number column just to ensure I could verify what the next item might be.
I went and changed the Title of the next item. It had no affect.
So even though I fixed it I'm still at a loss as to what was bad in the Title.
I will have to start messing with Graph Explorer. I'm not sure how this would help.
The XML data that shows when you go tot he listdata.svc shows fine. The ODATA used to work just fine, then it just stopped.
