I have a line chart that shows two different weekly data points in terms of say Revenue and % shares of some products. For some strange reasons, KW 42 and 44 are not showing on the chart for the Revenue. The data isnt missing in the table as it even shows on a different chart in another tab.
I have checked my filters and there seems to be nothing wrong, I tried creating the chart on an entirely different tab and I am still encountering the same missing data points, I have used a different chart also -same result.(The missing data points are also in the range of the existing ones so this isnt a scale/amount issue)
Any suggestions on what else I can try or what could be the issue?
Has there been a solution for this? I started experiencing this for the first time with reports that have never previously done it. It looks like there are a few post threads that report the same issue and none of them have found a resolution.
@Anonymous
The issue is the data point fails to show on the chart, the data for these particular KW exists in the table but somehow its not depicting on the graph.
To explain my data model, i have a group of product together with their weekly sales YTD and also the % shares of these products for the company.
To make a sample because its sensitive:
Product Name | QTY | Sales | KW | % Shares |
Product A | 656 | 15,000$ | 42 | 90.8% |
Product B | 200 | 1308$ | 42 | 67.4% |
Product F | 342 | 2848$ | 35 | 56.0% |
Product X | 5881 | 15,688$ | 44 | 90.9% |
To relate this to the chart in my original question, the black line is % Shares column and the green line is the Sales. Now, i dont understand why KW 42 and Kw44 are not showing on the chart even tho i have the data in the table. (In an entirely different tab/chart, I am able to see all the data points)
Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue in Powerpoint and nothing I try seems to work.
Hi @foyadeyi ,
I have a test by your data. It works well in my side.
Please check whether there are some filter in Sales.
And you can download the latest version Desktop and try again.

Hi @foyadeyi
Is your question that the green line is not continuous even though the green classification has data at KW42 and 44?
Could you share a easy sample with me? I need to know your data model to reproduce your problem and solve it.
