Hi PBI Community ,
did someone know a Solution to switch between Englisch and German Field Names ?
e.g. in the Online Version some Enduser want to see and Export the Tables with Englisch Field Names and some Enduser want to have it with German Field Names.
Google says there is a solution with Meta Table Translation - be we dont understand how .
No Solution is to dublicate the Tables and work with a Bookmark ( because when we make changes, all the changes must also be done in the other Tabs)
Thanks for helping,
Tine82

Hi @Tine82,
you can download "Translations Builder" application and then add language as "German (de-DE)". and then translate fields to german in Power BI metadeta.
I've an alternate way to do it, just give user a button to translate the headers using a drop down button using the field parameter option.
You can create the filed parameters using youe columns and measure and give both of them as german or english names and then you can use them using a slicer. Please see a sample .pbix file if it helps. This sample file is just to give you an idea and you can use this functionality as per your needs.
It'll give user the flexibility to chose the language freely.

Hi @Tine82 ,
Has @grazitti_sapna refered this can be achieved by using the translations on the semantic model.
For each table, column, measure there is a specific meta data property that allows you to add different translations:
Using the Translation builder will deploy that specific field option to your semantic model check the link below
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/guidance/translation-builder
This is an external tool but currently this can also be done using the TMDL viewer:
This option is directly on the tables itself so no need to duplicate any data.

@grazitti_sapna ,
Thanks for the solution
but we have a lot of Fields and Visualization Tables , is there a option to get the translations directly in the tables (see Red marked)

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @grazitti_sapna ,
Altough in the past these fields were only available in Tabular Editor or using another external tool currently you can update all the translations using the TMDL editor inside Power BI Desktop that is on my last image this is a script based format that allows for users to easily and without external tools to update all the metadata from any field in a semantic model even the ones that are not available in the UI.
