Snowflake DirectQuery broken since Aug 2020 version

For the most recent two versions of PowerBI Desktop (Oct 2020 - 2.86.727.0, and Sept 2020 - 2.85.284.0), any time I am trying to create a dashboard using the Snowflake connector in DirectQuery mode I get the following error:

OLE DB or ODBC error: [Expression.Error] We couldn't fold the expression to the data source. Please try a simpler expression..

Anybody else having this issue?  Reverting to the August 2020 version (2.84.461.0) seems to fix the error, but obviously I don't want to run this legacy version forever...
