Hi All,

When attempting to query snowflake with a native query, I get this error:

These are the parameters:

I have verified the credentials / tables / databases / schemas are correct by connecting to directly to one table at a time, but simple queries like the screenshot and complex queries all return this message "native queries aren't support by this value".

I know this is a new feature ( June 2021 ) and I have read the documentation here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/snowflake#connect-using-advanced-options

Any help is appreciated.

I had this same error message, it was caused by the fact that the Snowflake credentials didn't have SELECT access to one of the tables in my query.

Use the Fully Qualified names like DBName.Schema.table. It worked for me

I was getting this same error on a complex (150+ line) Snowflake query in Power BI desktop, even after upgrading to the latest version (2.98.1004.0). Fully qualifying the table names as dbname.schemaname.tablename resolved the issue for me.

Hello,

I have found that with new version i have missing driver for SnowFlake in PowerBI installation.

Version:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Desktop\bin\ODBC Drivers\Simba Snowflake ODBC Driver

MS team forgot to add: SnowflakeODBC_sb64.dll

I have copied from other maschine that had previous version of PowerBI Desktop. And it worked.

Hi @tkboisvert ,

Please try to delete the data source on Desktop and reconnect to check whether the SQL statement is written correctly. You can clear the data source in Data source settings.
