I received the BI file from a colleague and revised the analysis for our report. We've updated more information in Smartsheet online so that it would show up in our Power BI report. However, since I received the Power BI file, the data is not refreshing and keeps getting errors. What is causing this and how do I solve this problem? Is it due to change in Smartsheet credentials?
In the future, we plan to share the BI file with other people who may work on the analysis, but if the data refresh is not working, it would be troublesome. Is there a way to prevent this from happening as we send over the Power BI file and keeping the same Smartsheet link?
FYI, we're using a free version of Power BI.
Please help. Thank you.
Hi SHL,
Based on your description, your colleague are using a pro account while you are using a free license, right?
Only pro user can use "Get App" feature. So you can't access the smartsheet because samrtsheet is an app service which need pro license.
Best Regards,
Jimmy Tao
Hi, v-yuta-msft, thank you for your response.
However, my colleague is also using the free version.
What would be causing the error in this case?
FYI, we're accessing the data through
Get Data --> More --> Online Services --> Smartsheet --> Login to Smartsheet --> select sheet/table from the website --> Load
Thank you.
