Small shapes being truncated

Any ideas who to address. I'm using May 2021 Power BI desktop build and the new shape shapes from the April release. I have a custom tooltip page where my small coloured circules are being chopped off. Only at about 50x50 size does the cutting off stop. The circles are 15x15 on a tooltip page that is 250x150 pixels.

I've tried all of the settings in the formatting panel I can and none fix the issue.

Received response from Microsoft Support. The engineering team has identified a potential fix for this issue. Please note that this is a rendering bug only in the "new" shape visual, the old shapes do not exhibit this truncated behaviour (so this is not a regression). ETA to production is the week of June 28 and the July version of Desktop.

For a workaround, you can use a "default"-sized image or copy the shape from an old report that does work (do not upgrade the shape).

Actually, I still have the problem! I have now confirmed it is related to upgrading the shape to the "new, modern shape design". When I am prompted in Power BI desktop to upgrade the shape (or indeed all shapes in my report) this problem occurs. Once I upgrade the shape it is truncated and I cannot find any way to fix it other than make it bigger. For both circles and squares I have tested and 17x17 is the smallest size that does not truncate. My preferred size of 15x15 does.

HI @vgeldbr,

I think the required icon size is too small to achieve on power bi images. In my opinion, I'd like to suggest you use Unicode characters to show these icons instead.

No idea what I did but the issue has gone away. It must have been something to do with the theme but I cannot identify what caused it or how I fixed it.

@vgeldbr Have you played with the Image height property, generally found under something like "Grid" in a table visual?

@Greg these images are free standing on the tooltip page. They are not in a table.
