Helper IVSmall shapes being truncated
Received response from Microsoft Support. The engineering team has identified a potential fix for this issue. Please note that this is a rendering bug only in the "new" shape visual, the old shapes do not exhibit this truncated behaviour (so this is not a regression). ETA to production is the week of June 28 and the July version of Desktop.
For a workaround, you can use a "default"-sized image or copy the shape from an old report that does work (do not upgrade the shape).
Helper IVActually, I still have the problem! I have now confirmed it is related to upgrading the shape to the "new, modern shape design". When I am prompted in Power BI desktop to upgrade the shape (or indeed all shapes in my report) this problem occurs. Once I upgrade the shape it is truncated and I cannot find any way to fix it other than make it bigger. For both circles and squares I have tested and 17x17 is the smallest size that does not truncate. My preferred size of 15x15 does.
