Do you mean that it takes minutes to load data to Power BI when you firstly import from sharepoint list, or it is slow when you refresh data/apply query change in Power BI Desktop?
If you mean the first time that you import data, please disable the following options in Power BI Desktop.
However, if you refer to the refresh/apply query change time, please review the discussion in the similar thread below.

What is the alternative to exapanding the columns? In the link you provided they mentioned using lookupvalues but how they achieved it? Was it DAX or m?
