Hi everyone in the PBI Community,
I'm trying to do something that I think is not that adavance but I'm missing something (And Im new at this LOL).
This is the scenario:
I have a table similar to this:
Invoices
Invoice_no
Invoice_date
Invoice_Amount
I need to show the records in a table visual according to a slicer selection as in:
Slicer
__ 30 Days
__ 60 Days
__ 90 Days
So if the report users 30 Days, the table is populated with the rows that have a 30 days aging
The Trick is the following:
The actual date to evaluate the number of days, is coming for a Date Slicer, and every time I use the date slicer the number of days changes (and I need to some how populate the table with the new evaluated records)
THIS IS WHAT I DID so far:
1. Create a Date Table
2. Create a Date slicer (so that I can select the END DATE)
3 Created a measure to calculate the number of DAYS by using DATEDIFF(Invoice_Date, END DATE fom Slicer)
Now (I'm not sure how to model the slicer for 30, 60, 90 Days). From what I have been reading it seems I have to CREATE a TEMP table that includes Invoice_NO and the category (30, 60, 90). Not sure if I have to use another measure and make it part of the TEMP TABLE. And them somehow I have to use that table to create a slicer and hope The original table will be sliced by Invoice_no of a specific category.
Not usre is something that can be done. Let's see if I can help some help from the community!
Thanks

Hello, there is a great piece here on doing exactly what you are trying to achieve. In my opinion it would be better if PBI did this sort of thing off the cuff but it doesnt.
