Slicer with Text Values
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if there is a way to use the slicer in Power BI and get the date slider bar to show up while using a text value. I had to make some changes to my data because I was trying to join two tables together but they would only join with each other using the dates from each of the tables. I had to change the data type from date/time to text in order to make a bridge table between the two tables. Thanks!

Do you want to show the slider bar while using the text type of date value?
If yes, sorry for that it is not supported.
We suggest you to create another date column. Now you have two date column.
You can change the type of one of them to Text type, another to Date type.
The Text type will be the bridge, the Date type will be the slicer.
If it doesn’t meet your requirement, could you please provide more details about your issue?
