Slicer with Single Selection Option in Template

Hi,

I do have a problem with power bi templates and slicers set to single selection option, but first the set up.

I have created report templates for my company using direct query connected with SQL data base.

The report is used by consultants and customers for result visualisation, where each customer has its own data base.

So for various projects the same report templates are used, just connected to a different data base.

In the report are multiple slicers set to single selection option.

The problem is if connecting the template to a new data base, it tries to filter the results for attribute options not available in the new data base, explicitly the latest selected before saving the template, which leads to a lot of empty visuals/tables.

Is there a way to

  • set the default slicer selection to the first option of the attribute?
  • force the template to forget about the previous selection?
  • ...

I'm open of any suggestions, except manually correcting each slicer in each report each time.

Regards

Gudrun

That is only available for Date and DateTime columns. (via the Relative... filter)
