is it possible to have a white selection box - see image - as opposed to a black box which is hard to see when no selection is made.

@Anonymous , Light grey should be visible, dark grey on the other hand shouldn't. Share an image of u selected.
For the majority, there isn't any option to change the color of just checkbox but if it has been changed that means that this slicer has adheared to a color palette that changed properties of slicer.
If you can recreate the colors of the slicers again try resetting the entire color property of slicer(reset to default)
