Slicer to display blank date fields for user

So I have a Date Slicer with Stard and End dates that are populated with current date range. My question is it possible to have those show as blank ? 

Is this even possible?

The date slicer displays the entire range of dates in your date column unless you apply some sort of filter. If they were blank the the same date range would still show on your report. What is your reason for wanting to be blank?

I understand that the date range will show the entire date range, but the main reason for having empty / blank date field is for the report user since their used to a similar feature on an older report.

I don't think you can achieve this in 'between' mode, current power bi provide multiple filter modes('before'/'after'/'between') for specific scenarios. In my opinion, I'd like to suggest you submit an idea for a merge filter mode on date slicer.
