Slicer synchronisation issue

Hi there,

I have a large report with many synched slicers. Most work fine but one is displaying strange behaviour. It's showing as Synched across all the pages I require, but changes are not being carried through from page to page.

For instance if I apply a filter on page 1:

I can see the slicer has the same filter on page 2.

However if I then remove it (un-check it) on page 2,

it remains in place on page 1.

This seems to happen no matter what pages I test. I've seen similar (though not identical) issues which suggest manually going through and re-creating every slicer by hand. Is this the only solution?

Edited to Add: It turns out simply changing the slicer filter on Page 2 will get picked up on Page 1. It's only removing the filter that doesn't work.

Hi @chris1579

Are you using Apply All Slicer option in your report?

If you are using this, after uncheck the DE you have to hit apply all filters. In some time developers are forgot to hit that Apply all slicers button.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply- I've double checked and there are none of these in the report. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hi! @chris1579

As @Thennarasu_R mentioned you can use sync slicer and try to uncheck the slicer and check the box again, else you need to follow what @Anonymous suggested. Delete the slicer that is causing issue and copy that slicer from your page 1 and paste it on page 2 again.

Hi,

Repeating someone else's suggestion verbatim is unhelpful. As I said: I'd like to know if there's a way round an obvious software bug or if I have to manually go through a huge document replacing every slicer again.

Hi @chris1579

Maybe you can try this:

Here I create a Slicer in page1:

Then Copy it(Ctrl+C or right click it and copy visual) and paste(Ctrl+V) it in page2, select Sync:

Hope it helps;

Hi,

I'm well aware how to make synched slicers. As per my original question I'd like to know if doing this is the only solution or if there's a way to fix what's obviously a bug. Your response is unhelpful.

Hi @chris1579

If have multiple pages In view option, you can review the Sync slicer, and Slicer filter which all pages
