Slicer: single select without selected value at the beginning

hello
I wanted to ask about the possibility of creating a slicer - single select but without a default value. I am talking about the situation when I have single select slicer without selected value. When we have multi-select there is no selected value in the slicer window and I would like to get the same but for single select.
I need to create a slicer where the user can select only one value, but there is no selected value at the beginning.
For example, now when I set single select I have:

is.PNG

And I would like to have as initial view:

want.PNG

thank you for your help! 🙂

Hi @Anonymous ,

Agree with @AnkitKukreja . It's a default behaviour. If you select 'single select' in the slicer settings, by default, the first value is selected for you.

You may submit an idea for the unsupported feature.

Hi! @Anonymous

This is the default behaviour of the single select slicer. You can use the slicer with multi-select and their users can multi-select with ctrl (or you can turn that off as well).

But you can try using the approach which was already answered in another post.

Hi @AnkitKukreja

Thank you very much for posting the link with the discussion.

You wrote: "you can use the slicer with multi-select and their users can multi-select with ctrl (or you can turn that off as well)."
This unfortunately doesn't solve my problem, because I need the slicer with single-select.
When I set the slicer with multi-select and turn off the option with ctrl, the problem is not solved in Power BI.

When the settings look:

1.PNG

Then the user selecting check-boxes one by one without using ctrl selects a pair (in this case dates):

2.PNG
