Slicer scroll bar not working in Firefox

Hi,

Ran into this problem when I was testing my report. After uploading from Power BI desktop and then publishing to the web, the scroll bar on my slicers is dissappearing and freezing in Firefox. Shown below is a before and after of what comes up when you navigate to the report on the web, everything is fine until you start to drag the scroll bar or click in an area outside of the slicer.

What happens on the right is after making a few selections, then clicking in an area outside of the slicer. I can get it back to the image on the left by hovering over the slicer and moving the mouse wheel, but this is a big pain. Tried it in Chrome and none of this appears to be happening. Is this just an issue with Firefox? Telling my audience to just use Chrome is not a solution.

Thanks in advance,

P.B.

2 ACCEPTED SOLUTIONS

Hi Cherry,

Just noticed that when I had the problem, I had the December 2018 version of Power BI still running. I updated the program and made a test report, published to the web, and the problem is absent now. I'll have to recreate my orginal report, but with the updated version, the problem seems to be gone. May just have been the result of not using the latest version.

Thanks!

Hi, I also have an issue with Slicer scroll bars not appearing in PowerBI reports when using Firefox on a MAC. I've seen old posts stating that Mozilla not supported as a browser but the latest documentation says it is. Versions of PowerBI and Firefox are shown below. Please confirm whether slicer scroll bars should work with these versions.

Hi @pbright86,

By my test with the latest version of Power BI Desktop (Version: 2.66.5376.1681 64-bit (February 2019) and the firefox 65.0, everything works as expected.

You could have a test with my URL in your FireFox browser.

In addition, you could have a reference of this similar thread.

If you still need help, please share an URL which could reproduce your issue so that I could have a test in my site.

Hi Cherry,

Thanks for your reply. I've included a URL with mock up of what my report would look like with the slicer.
