Hi,
I have a slicer that is fine in desktop, but errors out once it refreshes over the gateway in the service.
I've loaded data to Power Query - 3 columns, all text type.
I've added a calc column in DAX using Switch(True() to categorize codes from Column A
All fields are text type and format - including my calculated column.
Where am I going wrong? I can't figure out why this is not populating after refresh???
Service Type = SWITCH(TRUE(),
'Service Codes'[ServCode]="ADMIN", "ADMIN",
'Service Codes'[ServCode]="PTO", "PTO",
'Service Codes'[ServCode] IN {"S0215", "S0215-U1", "S0215-U2", "SA300"}, "Mileage",
CONTAINSSTRING('Service Codes'[ServCode], "T10"), "Service",
'Service Codes'[Description] = "Aggregate", "Aggregate",
"Training"
)

I've resolved this. It had to do w/ the Data Type being left as Any in power Query - adding the Text type resolved the issue.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Try to remove the calculated columns and then refresh and then add the columns back.
If you do it this way, update the data model and then load the PBIX or Excel file and overwrite the old data set, you will not break all of your reports, dashboards, etc.
