Hi all. I have a slicer that filters a graph by month. For the months Jan-June (the months I used when I originally built the dashboard) display correctly i.e. when June is selected the slicer says June is selected. I have recently updated the dashboard to include July and August. Now when I select August, the slicer says 'All' even though it has correctly filtered for August. June etc still displays correctly. Note, I have the option to select all turned off. Any advice on why this is happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Grace

Thanks so much for your help but I just discovered the issue! There is a limit to the number of drop down options you can have and my dates went back too far.
Hi @GraceC,
Did you use the dropdown slicer? Could you provide more details so that I can reproduce this scenario? If possible, please share your .pbix file.
Does this odd behavior exist if you drag other fields into this slicer? Have you tried to delete and re-create this slicer? If this problem always occur in any report file, please update your dekstop to latest version for a test.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi @v-yulgu-msft,
Thanks for your response!
-Yes it's a dropdown slicer
-The behaviour exists when I drag other fields into the slicer
-I have deleted and re-created the slicer multiple times
-I have the latest version of Desktop Power Bi
When I select "August" or "July" it will momentairly say "August" or "July" but as soon as I click anywhere else it reverts back to "All" but will still show results for August or July. For all previous months it will stay on the right month. I've checked each month entry has the same data type and format. I'm very confused!
Cheers
Grace
Hi @GraceC,
I didn't encounter this problem in my environment (2017 September). Could you share your pbix file so that I can test in my desktop to see whether issue occurs?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi,
Sorry for the silly question but how do I share a pbix file with you?
Grace
Hi @GraceC,
You can upload your pbix file on OneDrive, then, share the link with me so that I can download.

Yuliana Gu
