Slicer not displaying all values

I have enabled slicers for all pages in a report. One or these is Region .

Seven distinct values appear for Region in a dataset of 400 rows.

The slicer is only showing ONE value for Region ; how is this resolved ?

  • Anonymous,

    ways to check
    1. Make sure any of the pages are filtered by region level.

    2. If you enable the sync slicer, remove it and check every page level.
    3. Create a new page and check if the region column has a seven-valued value or not.

    4. Delete all the region slicers and create a new one to check.

    Hi Anonymous

    Check following
    1. Are you using any Report level filter, if there please remove and check
    2. Are there any page-level filter, if there please remove and check
    3. Check your table relationship, are there any double-way relationships that can filter the region
    4. Check the region spelling (including extra space) in all tables
    5. Are you using a sync slicer across the all page, if there is, please remove it and check
    6. Create a new page, and delete all page-level and report-level filters. Create a simple table and bring the region from the DIM table and then bring the other region from the FACT table. You can easily tally, that is the issue.

Problem was caused by Report-level filters being set on other pages , which affected the avilable Region dataset. If Region has a HIERARCHY,  with District and Office as subordinate enttites, if values for these are selected, then only the corrsponding Region values will appear in the filter ; re-setting these subordinated values will resolve the problem.

Q : Is there a "re-set all filters" button anywhere in Power BI ?
