Slicer (new) reverts back to default selection when using bookmarks for a pop out draw?

Hello

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere regarding my issue, so I do apologise if this has already been answered.

I have a burger menu button that opens up a draw with a Slicer (new) list of property names. When I click on one of the property names is shows selected and it also changes the value of a text box so it displays that selected property name.

I then hit the burger menu button to close the draw and the text box value remains with the chosen property name which is correct.

If I then open the draw again the text box value reverts to the first property name in the list and the Slicer (new) also reverts back selecting the first property name in the list. It doesn't maintain the selected property name in the list or the selected value in the text box.

I have "Data" switched off on both bookmarks the only ones selected are "Display", "Current page" and "Selected visuals"

Please can someone advise me if I am doing something wrong or if this is a bug. Thank you

I've tried to explain the issue visually below.

First image shows the default state with Property A in the title label.

Opened the Menu and selected Property C the title label changes to Property C and the slicer (new) shows Property C selected.

Closed the Menu the title label still shows Property C which is correct.

Opened the menu again and the title reverts back to the default Property A and the slicer (new) now shows Property A selected when they both should still be Property C.

I have two bookmarks one for opened menu and one for closed menu. I only have Display, Current page and Selected visuals ticked. I have tried numerous combinations with Data clicked but no joy. If I use the old slicer I don't get this problem.

Does anyone have the same issue

Hi @MisterBooth ,
Based on your description, the behavior encountered when the slicer reverts to its default selection may be related to the way the slicer state is captured in the bookmarks. If you turn off the "Data" option, bookmarks will not save the slicer's selection state. Since the selection is maintained, make sure to include "data" when creating or updating bookmarks after making a selection in the slicer.
Also if you want to use bookmarks, update the bookmarks after an action to record the most recent action, bookmarks do not automatically save your actions.

Hello Albert,

Thank you for your reply.

Still no good. If I use the old slicer it works, but the new one will not maintain the slicer selection state.
I have tried combinations of Data, Current page, All visuals, Selected visuals and updated each time.
What I have noticed is if I click on the bookmarks to show the open and close states the slicer selection is maintained. If I use the burger menu buttons with the actions pointing to the relevant bookmarks it doesn't work.

Kind Regards
Anthony
