Hi All,
I am using the Slicer (new) visual and if I try to add a currency based label it does not format correctly. I cannot get it to show $, or the thousands separator. See image below (I've blocked out names of the cards):

I had the same issue. In the end I created a seperate measure and used the FORMAT function with style code "$#,#.#0" which worked.
