Slicer(new) Button size

Hello,

Is there a way to have a fixed, static button size in the "new" slicer?

If my slicers are filtering each other, the button sizes change and it looks terrible

Hi @asoboleva -if you are using new slicer button sizes can change based on the number of items in the selection, which can lead to inconsistent appearances when slicers are filtering each other. Unfortunately, as of now, Power BI does not provide a direct way to set fixed sizes for buttons in slicers.

alternatively:

If you switch to the classic slicer mode, it may provide more consistent sizing, though you will lose some of the modern visual styles. To do this, select the slicer visual, then go to the format pane and look for options related to switching to the classic slicer style. You can change the orientation of the slicer from vertical to horizontal or vice versa. This can sometimes help with the layout when multiple slicers are involved.

If you find this issue critical for your dashboard, you might also consider submitting feedback to Microsoft via the Power BI Ideas forum, where they collect suggestions for future updates.

Hope this helps.

It looks like you didn't post an idea for this, but I have the same issue.

I posted the idea:

Thanks for the information, will submit to the ideas forum then.

Until they adjust this, will switch back to using Chiclet slicer, as I need all the formatting options that the original Microsoft slicer does not offer.
