Slicer inconsistent, all filled, or all empty

Hi, I have a slicer with only two values. There are no other values available, nor any blancs.

Capture.PNG

If I select both values I should select everything, and I get a result of a checksum that is say 500.

Now the strange part. If I leave the slicer all empty, normally that is the same thing, select everying. But now I get a value of 700!

Something is filtering in the relations in one table, when it should not. Can any give my a hint what is going on behind the scenes? If I delete the slices all together I also get 700. So I get a feeling there is an optimization down deep in Power BI that will omit a check if nothing is selected, but is triggered then everying is selected. I just cannot find what is wrong.

Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous ,

The information you have provided was not clear enough. What does your data model look like and are you doing any calculation?

Best Regards,

Jay

Well understood. But the model is large, and I fail to reproduce it in a small model.

But what is the difference of a slicer accoring the the picture, where all is selected, and none is selected? Normally it provide the same result (it shows all), but not this time.

It will be very difficult to help with your question without being able to see your data model.  Please take a look at this post to give you an idea of the information we need to help you.
