Hi all
a colleague asked me for help: she has a slicer not working correctly.
The slicer presents two values (say "0"/"1").
The condition generated selecting the first value is "Attribute is not 1", while a similar slicer created from scratch produces for the same selection the condition "Attribute is 0".
The problem arises when no value is selected:
the first slicer generates the condition in "Attribute is not 0 or 1", which is false, the second one does not generate any condition.
I can't find any difference, in the visualization panel.
Unzipping the .pbix file and inspecting the json string of the report layout I find some difference;
particularly the first slicer present this property
"isInvertedSelectionMode\":{\"expr\":{\"Literal\":{\"Value\":\"true\"}}}
Have you ever founded something like that?
Is there a way to control this behaviour in Power BI Desktop?
thanks
Luigi
Solved! Go to Solution.
I succeded in creating a minimal report with dummy tables reproducing the problem

Hi @10246532 ,
Are there any other filters on the current page? Also can you provide relevant screenshot information and describe it so that I can answer it for you as soon as possible.
Looking forward to your reply.

I reproduced the problem of my colleague creating a simpler report with
- a page with one slicer (copied & pasted fron the original report) and a table
- a page with the same slicer created from scratch and the same report
The report is in live connect mode.
Here you can see the relation betwen the two tables involved.
Here you can see that selecting the same value the two slicer produce inverted condition, with the same effect.
Unfortunately deselecting all values the effects are different
Settings of two slices are identical
Another symptom is that with the bad slicer you can obtain multi-select without control, despite its setting.
thanks
have a nice day
Luigi
