Slicer for Date doesn't show between option

I have a data set where i have a date column (type:date). I add the date hierarchy to the slicer but when i go to slicer settings -> options->style, i only get 2 options (Dropdown, Vertical List). I want the between option so i can have a sliding slicer.

Any ideas how i get around this?

Try removing the date hierarchy and just using the date column.
