Slicer doesn't filter a table visual

Dear All,

Like the titel says the slicer doesn't filter a table visual. To describe the issue, i have two (document1(3) and training1) tables that both have 'Name' column with the same names and i have connected them in model view (so 1-1 cardinality). I used the slicer from the table 'document(1) 3' to create the name slicer which should filter the table visual ( created from table 'training1') but for some reason like i said the slicer doesn't filter the table . I have another table visual created from the same table of the slicer visual (document(1)) which does filter the names in this case.I don't undersand where the issue is . As I'm using confidential data , i can't share the tables but here is the model view :

Any help is appreciated !

    Hi, Ella123

The active relationship should be solid. You set the relationship between the tables to active and then see if the tables filter properly.

  • The relationship between 'Document (1) 3' and Training1 is not active. You need to make it active.

The relationship between these two table i.e. document1 and training 1 are inactive. You need to create a active relationship between these tables then only the slicer will be effective, try to create a active relationship under the edit relationship.

    Thanks!
