My Power BI report is connected to a SharePoint list and includes Power Automate flows.
On one page, there's a table showing items that are pending manager review, with each item is identified by an ID and includes specific request details.
A dropdown slicer filters the table to only show items where "Manager Review" = "Pending", allowing the manager to select an item and trigger a Power Automate button to mark it as "Complete".
The issue is that after the data refreshes, the dropdown slicer remains stuck on the previously selected ID, even if that ID no longer has a "Pending" status. In cases where no items are pending, the slicer should be empty, but instead it still shows the last selected ID as the default.
Any suggestions for a good workaround?

Hi @MikeMichaels ,
This is a question about the slicers that they are filtered based on the text, so what you select it will be stored in the visual, there is no option to unselect if the value does not exist, that is the case that is happening.
The question is if you want to show only values when there are pending values? is is possible to select other values on that slicer?

Thank you.
That is (unfortunately) by design, and one of the reasons why you shouldn't use default values for sensitive filters.
This issue can lead to data leakage, especially in RLS situations, where users can see filter choices they don't have access to.
