Hi, when searching for a value via the slicer search field, I only get the parent level displayed and not the second level I am looking for

It isn't appearing in the slicer or the visual you are filtering?

Here I have Region | Town and when I search Manchester which is a Town it shows.

Download the Hierarchy slicer and use that

The built in slicer won't expand when filtered.

please can you show exactly what you are searching for, which slicer version  you are using and what you are expecting.

The slicer will search all levels, but in order to understand the problem screenshot what you have done and provide all the information in order for us to make an informative response.
