Slicer Data with Report Level Filter
Hello, I am trying to figure out data on the slicer with report level filter, and I need your ideas for help.
I have a Main Data sheet and Staff List sheet. The two tables’ relationship is Many to One, and Cross Filter is both directions. I have two report page filters by Regional Manager Name (E-G) and Project Manager Name (A-E) based on the main data sheet.
1. Main Data sheet: Project number is unique data, and assigned by regional manager and project manager. Most of projects are assigned to separate regional managers & project managers, but some projects are assigned by one regional manager such as project number 5.
Project Number | Regional Manager Name | Project Manager Name |
1 | E | A |
2 | E | B |
3 | F | C |
4 | F | D |
5 | E | E |
6 | F | C |
7 | G | E |
2. Staff List: The Value is different depends on the title.
Title | Name | Value |
Project Manager | A | 100 |
Project Manager | B | 100 |
Project Manager | C | 100 |
Project Manager | D | 100 |
Regional Manager | E | 200 |
Regional Manager | F | 200 |
Regional Manager | G | 200 |
I want to make a slicer based on the Staff List value, so If I choose E(Project Manager Filter or Regional Manager Filter), I want the slicer value appear 200. Since some Regional Managers are under the Project Manager name(main data sheet), the data is slightly off. Is there any way using the report level filter to show the value?
Hi _jaime_ ,
Based on my test, I find that the relationship only has one active relationship, so you only use Project Manager Filter to achieve it.
