Slicer Background color based on selection on dropdown format

Hi,

I have some requirement related to slicer background colour I will just explain the context here suggest me if we can achieve this or not.

Scenario: I have created a report having 3 slicers and based on selection of 3 slicers below the table visual interacts with the filters. but the requirement is if user selects any value from any of the slicer the background colour of the slicer becomes orange else normal white colour.

I tried with the dax but not workout. Can someone please help me to achieve this. Below the screen shot for reference.

1. If nothing is selected

Hi @Tring01 ,

As far as I know, there is no other way to simplify setting the background color for multiple slicers, and BIswajit_Das  reply is a great alternative.

You can submit an idea for it at Home (microsoft.com) and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.

Best Regards,

Neeko Tang

Thanks & Regards...

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response, I also tried this earlier its working fine for me. if its one or two filters we can handle this approach. In my report there are huge filters on each screen mostly 40 filters implemented overall the report in all the scree. so best of my knowledge this is not a best approach if possible can suggest some other approach if its fits for my requirement.

Below is the screenshot what I was implemented.

Thanks You so much for your inputs on this.

Hi,

Thamks for your inputs onthis. as of now we not found any solution still I am looking for the suggestions. The same I developed in one of the POC and showed to the business, but unfirtunately they are not accepted it. still looking for the alternatives.

Hi @Tring01, I believe that this question is not technical anymore. As suggested by @BIswajit_Das, there is a way to achieve the desired result. Now you need to evaluate if you want to implement it or not. If you have 40+ filters, you'd still need to create them so there is iniatial set-up cost.

You're saying that business rejected this idea. But why? I don't think that they actually care about measures creationg and etc. What exactly they didn't like? What is your final goal?
