Simple Matrix showing Parent Child relationship and data

Hello,  

I am trying to accmplish what seems would be an easy task but can't get it just right.  What I would like to do is show 2-3 Rows at the Parent Level of a record, then drill down to see some Child details.  I am currently trying to do this using a Matrix but does not seem that I can do multiple cols for a Parent row, then different rows for my Child row.  Enclosed is an image of how I would to make this appear.  Could anyone provide any guidance or tips?
