I need help writing a DAX for a single KPI for Average Monthly Units. Average, AverageA, AverageX seem to show the average across all the data, but I need the Average for all of the Months in the dataset in 1 KPI.
I have Total Units and Order Date, how would I write a DAX for Average Monthly Units for a KPI. Not in a Chart but a single KPI.
So I need to calculate the # of Months in the Period of the datest and then the average for each month and then the average for all of those.

1/2/2018 | 2 |
1/3/2018 | 3 |
1/4/2018 | 4 |
1/5/2018 | 5 |
1/6/2018 | 6 |
1/7/2018 | 7 |
1/8/2018 | 8 |
In Power BI, Create a measure,
average = CALCULATE(AVERAGE(Table1[units]),ALLSELECTED(Table1))
add it in a KPI, it shows a result as below:
