ShowAsVariationsOnly property set to '1' must be a target of a variation

Hi,

I have a number of reports which connect to a PowerBI dataset via DirectQuery.

Whenever I try to refresh these reports in Desktop (to pull in any new fields I add to the main dataset) I get the error:

DirectQuery to AS - BI Master Dataset
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'Table 'LocalDateTable_db4877ee-c5af-4962-9ebd-c4047ab8df00' with ShowAsVariationsOnly property set to '1' must be a target of a variation when variation notation is enabled. '.

I have tried disabling/re-enabling Auto date/time but it hasn't helped.

This is turning into a very big problem as I have about 30 different reports which connect into this dataset.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks,
