    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

     

    • By default, Power BI aggregates the values (e.g., summing subchild values when collapsing Child2).
    • The exact behavior you described (displaying only the value of the collapsed node without summing sub-levels) cannot be achieved with default visuals in Power BI.
    • The Matrix visual will always aggregate child values when a parent node is collapsed.
    • Use a custom visual like Matrix Pro or HierarchySlicer from the Power BI Marketplace to gain better control over hierarchical behavior.
