Show previous shipment data even though bar chart has no data

I have a forecasted vs shipped line and clustered column chart where shipment qty is the line y axis and the units forecasted is the column y-axis. The File in legend is what month that forecast was created. I look at the forecast they created in april and the one the created in May. Obviously the forecast doesn't look at the months before they were created but I would like to see how much were shipped in those previous months. 

I have the previous shipment data that I would like to include back to January

Date Relationships:

Shipment Order Date > Calendar

Forecast Date > Calendar

FILE is formatted as a Date

I have tried adjust my date axis to show items with no data, but that just extends my bar chart forward, not my line backwards. When I use order date and forecast date in my x-axis instead of the calendar table, it of course stacks the dates wildly for both datasets.

Hi @Emdie ,

I created simple samples that failed to replicate your problem. Please check if there are other filters applied that are causing the dates to be filtered and failing to show all the data.
