Hi there,
I have a situation where I have hierarchical data - Projects sitting under a Programme in two separate tables, linked by a unique identifier. The two Data tables look something like this:
Table 1:
Programme ID | Programme Status Update | Programme Next Actions |
1 | fdsfa | fdfa |
2 | fdsfa | fdfa |
3 | fdsfa | fdfa |
4 | fdsfa | fdfa |
5 | fdsfa | fdfa |
Table 2:
Programme ID | Project ID | Project Status Update | Project Next Actions |
1 | A | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
1 | B | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
2 | C | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
2 | D | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
2 | E | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
2 | F | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
3 | G | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
3 | H | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
4 | I | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
5 | J | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
I want to combine the two tables in a matrix visual, but only showing the data for each level a the relevant level, i.e. Programme Status Update would only show at the Progamme level and Project Status Update would only show at the lower Project level. I hope it would look something like this:
Matrix Table:
Programme ID | Project ID | Programme Status Update | Programme Next Actions | Project Status Update | Project Next Actions |
1 | fdsfa | fdfa | |||
A | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
B | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
2 | fdsfa | fdfa | |||
C | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
D | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
E | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
F | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
3 | fdsfa | fdfa | |||
G | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
H | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
4 | fdsfa | fdfa | |||
I | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf;
5 | fdsfa | fdfa | |||
J | fjd;kafai | jfd;iajfdaf; |
At the moment instead of leaving blanks, it just repeats for every line of the matrix.
Thank you so much for your help - it is greatly appreciated!
