Show months from two years on x axis of clustered column chart

Hello

I'm trying to show data from two years on the same clustered column chart but all the data for each month is grouped together, e.g. January shows the Jan 2021 and Jan 2022 as one column). Is there a way to show both years on the same chart?

Hi @Stuart123 ,

If you only put month in the chart X-axis, it will automatically grouped. You should put both Year column and Month column in the X-axis.

Then click the expand button.

Get the result.

Months should be in the form 2021-Jan, 2022-Jan... then they will not be grouped.

Thanks for replying. That partly works but there's no way to order the months.

Of course, there is. Each column can be sorted according to another column if the corresponding values in both are in a 1-to-1 correspondence. I'd suggest at this point that you learn a bit more about Power BI. Just grab a book and read. You can go (and you should) through the Microsoft self-learning documentation on PBI.

Thanks for replying. Not sure what this solution means in practice though.
