Show active filters in report

Hi all,

This issue has been driving me insane for a couple of hours now, and I'm out of ideas.

I have a Fact table that is connected to multiple dimension tables.

I have made slicers out of these dimension tables to slice my data as needed, this all works fine.

I am now trying to show what choices the user has selected in a filter (house_name) with the following formula -

Filter active = "Filter active:" &IF(ISFILTERED(house[house_name]), UNICHAR(10)&"House: "& CONCATENATEX(VALUES(house[house_name]), house[house_name],", "), "All")

This has been taken from another Power BI Community Thread which worked according to the answers, but for me it just returns nothing, and i'm out of ideas of how to get it to work.

I honestly don't know what else to try now, as in my head this should work fine.

The "House" table is a table of unique house_names that filters my data as it should already. I just want to show what choices have been selected.

Any advice would be incredibly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi @Anonymous ,

Simply looking at the formula can not accurately find specific problems. Can you provide a detailed data model (delete sensitive data) and the desired results. I will answer for you as soon as possible.

 Looking forward to your reply.

@Anonymous , This seems fine, Remove unichar(10) and try, that will create one more line, second line might not be visible in one line disply

Filter active = "Filter active:" & IF(ISFILTERED(house[house_name]), "House: " & CONCATENATEX(distinct(house[house_name]), house[house_name],", "), "All")

Hi Amitchandak,

Thanks for the reply, however it's still showing nothing. All the scorecard shows is -

"Filter active: House: "

If i remove the IF + ISFILTERED part of it, and just try to concat with:

CONCATENATEX(distinct(house[house_name]), house[house_name],", ")

It returns (Blank), even though i'm looking right now at the slice actively filtering the report.

Any other ideas on what might be causing this?

Thanks
