Show Matrix Row Headers when Collapsed (Disable Collapse?)

Question: What's the best way to "collapse" a matrix hierarchy of multiple rows, but keep the headers of those rows visible.

Scenario: In a Matrix with stepped layout turned off, I have 4 rows and one value. I'd like the available levels of detail visible as row headers and I'd also like the values to stay in the same spot so they match up with the matrix visuals above and below this one.

Here, you can see 4 rows of the matrix:

If I right-click, Collapse All, the other three row headers disapear and the values shift over

If I Expand all, and then just use the +/- signs on individual rows, the headers remain, even if every rown on that level (state_name) is "minused". This is what I want, I just want to make sure it stays that way.

Is there any way to keep the row headers visible no matter what expansion/collapse of the rows happens?

TIA!

    Hi Gondi63 ,

To my knowledge, your requirement could not be realized. Clicking + ,then expand next level and Clicking -, then collapse the next level are the expected behaviour.

  • This can be achieved by swtiching off the Stepped layout option under Row Header.
