Show Items With No Data

Hi All

My colleague has the new version of PBI with the icons on the right hand side of the screen. When using a table, it used to be really easy to find the 'show items with no data', where has this option been moved to please?

I have tried to search online, but no luck and I have not yet updated!

Thanks

Hi @Jsummers ,
According to your description, we tested on the latest version 2.124.1805.0 64-bit (December 2023).
Here is our test data:

1.First we created a table visual object and placed the Item column and Value column on the visual object, which shows the item with no data normally, and the show item with no data option can be found in the dropdown list of the field. However, if the value column is aggregated, the show item with no data option is not found.

2.Then we created a calculated column and placed it in the visual object. It still shows the item with no data and the show item with no data option can still be found in the field drop-down list. However, if the column is aggregated, the show item with no data option is not found.

3.Finally, we create a measure and place it in the visual object, which only shows the data items and there is no show item with no data option in the measure drop-down list. In order to display the item with no data, we can select the show item with no data option in the Non-aggregated original field or Non-aggregated calculate columns.

According to the above test, you can't find show item with no data option in the field drop down list for aggregated columns or for measure. But you can show item with no data by selecting show item with no data option in non-aggregate columns.
