Should i use Straight or Matrix table for YTD vs LYTD ?

I freq using table to compare YTD vs LYTD , May i know usually people here prefer to use Striaght or Matrix table ?

As for me, I would like to use the matrix when I have a lot of hierarachy in data or I need to view data in different levels in hierarchy.

If you have more than three levels in hierarchy, you will not see total value in the middle level in table visual.

I just try to create stright table with hirechy it is not possible. So now i see the value in matrix

Both are good, why do you need to chose?

I think there are pro and con , for example i think Matrix table for sorting YTD column is not so easy vs striaght table.

When you build visuals you need to Know/think like a User and how the user is going to like it not you.
