Sharing or coauthoring dataflows

Reading this article, I ran into a show stopper for me.

Even after looking for proposed workarounds, it still is just too cumbersome.  PowerBI can dataflows be shared - Google Search.   Nor does any administrator want to follow this path.  Come On Microsoft.  Why?!   is there BETTER way????   Dataflows was suppose to be a gamechanger for me in developing 'one source of truth', code reuse, making my life easier, etc etc........any help MUCH appreciated.  

Currently, it's not possible for two different users to collaborate on the same dataflow. Only the creator (owner) of the dataflow can edit it. In the event a dataflow needs to be transferred to a different user, an environment administrator can change the owner of the dataflow from one user to another, as long as the current owner is still a member of the organization. For security reasons, transferring ownership removes the connection associated with the dataflow and requires the new owner to update the credentials used by the dataflow.

BASIC ISSUE:  Question (to reply to senior mgmt):  can you share PowerBI dataflows?  meaning.....can a dataflow have more than one owner?  example:  If I'm not available, can another administrator edit my dataflows?  if so, how?  I need a clear answer here for management and next steps.   Thanks Much.
