Sharepoint and move database connection

Hello,

I made my dashboard in powerbi dekstop and connected a excel database to it.

Now they want me to upload those two files in SharePoint so that the people can edit the Excel database so the Dashboard will be updated. I first wanted to remove the files to my onedrive. But if I move the files to anywhere else, the link between the excel file and the powerbi will be not found. Then if I reconnect the right path powerbi does not overwrite my current tables, no he just make more tables. how do i solve this?

the other problem will be SharePoint. because i have to upload the files in sharepoint so that everyone can edit the files. but if i upload the files into sharepoint the same problem will excist. So how do can I solve that?

thanks.

I may not be reading this right, but it sounds like you want to move your data source. Typically, you do this using Advanced Editor. Create a new query that connects to the new location of the data source. For this query, go into Advanced Editor and copy the Source line. Go to the original query, Advanced Editor and replace the Source line.

Sometimes you have to do the Navigation line as well.

Make a backup before you do this.
