Sharepoint URL is not opening but its gettting downloaded

Hello All,

 

I have used sharepoint link and made weburl in Power BI desktop. But the problem i am facing is once i click on the url link its getting downloaded. I want the file to open in the new tab instead of downloading.. How to achieve this?

 

Is there any settings to be changed in Sharepoint?

Hi @nagaraj007 ,

 

Some columns may be combined when you load files to desktop.Go to query editor,and expand them as shown below:

@nagaraj007 if it is a direct link to the file it will be downloaded. Did you created the sharepoint url to files in the power bi?

What was URL before and what you changed to make it work.

Hi,

 

I just added at the end of sharepoint url ?Web=1 and its working fine.. 

 

But one more challenge is PowerBI is not importing all the columns from Sharepoint. Could you please help me out
