Sharepoint Source Refresh Issue after adding 2nd Sharepoint Directory
- 2 years ago
Hello Ibendlin!
Your initial advice to "clean up the queries" was correct. After trying different ways to define SOURCE and create credentials, it occurred to me to check the Sharepoint directories to confirm contents. Turned out there were 2 files in the first directory.
Originally, I had uploaded the second file to the first Teams site. Then decided to create a different Teams site with different security access so users could update the file themselves. What I didn't know is that when I deleted the second file in the first Teams site, the delete did not carry through to Sharepoint. That was quite a surprise - and an important thing to know for many reasons besides building reports. After deleting the second file in first SharePoint folder, the PowerBI report worked.
Thanks your help!
Chris
Then you need to create two separate queries, one for each file.
I did that. The query for the newer file works. The query for the file that already existed stopped working.

- confirm that you only see one connection to the sharepoint
- post a sanitized version of both Power Queries.
